ACL tear

When I first got injured, and for a while after my surgery, it was difficult to do the most basic tasks. It was even a challenge to learn how to walk again under my own power.

The whole recovery process was mentally and physically taxing, as I didn’t even begin to return to sport for about seven months. Having to sit on the sidelines and only being able to watch the sport I love had its challenges for sure, but the treatment I received at the Coliseum was exceedingly more than I could have asked for or imagined.

The staff became a second family to me, pushing me to achieve my goals by helping me get stronger, even on days when I had no motivation. They answered all my questions and taught me the proper biomechanics for injury prevention, as well as strength training for my future success.

I have since returned to full-contact training sessions and am looking forward to playing games this fall for my last year of undergrad. Now I have the confidence to play again without fear of re-injury—not just because of the hard work I put in every day for the last nine months post-surgery, but also thanks to the reassurances from my physical therapists at the Coliseum. I am more than ready to get back and succeed on the field.

Thank you to everyone at the Coliseum for your dedication to your athletes!
